cocorosie - beautiful boyz

cocorosie is bianca and sierra casady. sierra sings and plays guitar and flute. bianca sings and does percussion (which is mostly random household items). anyways, their new album "noah's ark" is coming out in september on touch and go records. the cover art for the album is probably one of the most disturbing/hillarious pictures i've ever seen. yes, that is a crazy unicorn orgy. the girls recently finished a small tour opening for bright eyes and plan on touring europe this summer. oh yea, that's antony singing guest vocals on this track. recommended if you like: joanna newsom, devendra banhart, regina spektor.

Heh,

I did just realize that I really like this just because it reminds me of Bjork in parts of the track. Still good though.

this is the quite likely the worst "band" ever (if you can call them a band). i saw them open for bright eyes this winter. what a waste of a half hour of my life. one girl playing with toys (yes, literally toys - like the toy that 3 year olds play with where you pull a string and it plays an animal sound), one girl singing what she thinks sounds like opera and then changing up to sound like a bad nelly furtado, then a black guy wearing an indian headdress doing beatbox and attempting to rap occasionally. you call this music? you should be ashamed of yourself. i will pay anyone NOT to buy this album.
