imaad wasif has played in alaska! and lowercase and is currently the touring 4th member of the yeah yeah yeahs. on april 11th, kill rock stars released his self titled solo debut and i think it's amazing. i can easily see his folk-pop sound being compared to jeff buckley, elliott smith and maybe even a less ambitious sufjan stevens. highly recommended.

no way...this guy is no jeff buckley, elliot smith, etc. i saw him open for the yeah yeah yeahs in vancouver. it was such a downer. his lyrics are so cliched. you should hear his song 'isolation'.
I don't agree with the jeff buckley remark either. he reminds me of some mark lanegan's solo work. you should check out whiskey for the holy ghost.
Not all his tracks have that Buckley touch to them, on Spark it's pretty muted but discernable. You can hear it better on Coil. Go see...
