Turns out the Replacements were huge fans of Terry Reid, according to the book "All Over But the Shouting". Who knew?
Terry is awesome. He's pretty much the only reason I own the Devil's Rejects soundtrack.
I wish exactly the same thing. Just got the 2005 edition Superlungs and can't get over the fact that Penny was sitting in the vaults of Abbey Road since 1969... damn that one song could have justified a whole album. As someone else put it - criminally underappreciated.
river is one of my fave albums of all time... whata voice!! glad Plant respects him and bigs him up now and then thats good but still loads of people have never heard of him !
Dollars earned and headlines garnered is not how I rate talent. If Terry is cool with the way his life/career played out, then who are we to argue? Who can argue that he doesn't deserves more praise and awareness from the so-called rock experts?
